[Y]ou will find no Leftist outlets or blogs listed; you will not be able to link over to any stories or posts from the Left, calling for justice and demanding compliance with Geneva. They are uninterested, just as they are suddenly uninterested in civilian deaths in Iraq or military operations in Afghanistan.  Hypocrites.

I’m slowly coming to the conclusion that the left are not hypocrites in situations like this.  (And there are so many: Clinton’s sexual harassment and the Feminists; the ‘ethics’ investigations of GOP officials while Democrats who do worse are given a pass; Al Gore’s green preaching while having a carbon footprint the size of Sasquatch, etc.)  Instead I think they never did care about whatever the outrage-of-the-day is.  It’s just something with which they can bash conservatives in the press, or a pretext for more legislation.  It’s just a means to an end, which is more power for leftists.  Gay rights, racism, the environment, “every vote counts” — it means nothing to liberals unless it wins them more control over the reins of government and over our lives.
