Locke Promises Clean Census - But No China Questions?

F

ormer Washington Gov. Gary Locke is before the Senate today, hoping to be confirmed as Obama’s Commerce Sec after the Prez’s first pick withdrew in scandal and second ducked, covered and fled back to the Senate.

In the hearings, Locke promised to keep the U.S. Census in Commerce, a position counter to Rahmbama’s threat to pull it into the White House, where they could set ACORN to work to Chicago-ize the process:

President Barack Obama’s third pick to run the Commerce Department … also promised to closely oversee the 2010 census and run the enumeration from the department’s Census Bureau. …

Locke, 59, told the Senate Commerce Committee he would work with a Census director who would work with Congress, the administration and state leaders “to make sure you and they are involved every step of the way in making this a successful count.”

it’s a testimony to Rhambama’s political cunning and deference to the sleaziest elements of the left wing that the integrity of the U.S. Census has to become the subject of a confirmation hearing.  Of all the questionable moves in its first 50+ days, nothing signals the new admin’s intention to permanently skew American life and politics more than its threatened run on the Census.

Meanwhile, the AP article above is utterly and completely silent on the matter of Locke’s long and stinky ties to the Communist Chinese - a sign that the media is still firmly in the Obama camp despite a couple recent love bites on Obama’s neck that may have been just a wee bit firmer than their usual tongue baths.

C-SM has detailed Locke’s questionable fund-raising and cozy relationship with the Commies, drawing on Michelle Malkin’s excellent coverage (she’s been on his case since 1997!). Today, the WashTimes follows up with a major piece reiterating all this.

But as of this late report, Locke is still skating on this most pivotal issue.  Not that it matters; with a Dem majority firmly ensconsed, Mao Tse Tung could be confirmed if Obama nominated him.

With Obama winning the presidency by seven percent, we can't blame the media. Their laudatory coverage and refusal to extensively probe into Obama's background and [lack of] experience was at best responsible for five percent of his vote, the pundits tell us. Here is a compilation of over 100 significant instances of pro-Obama/anti-McCain bias during the 2008 campaign.
