Obama And Khalid Sheikh Mohammed

There’s an interesting twist – possibly – to today’s declaration by 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed that he and four other scum of the earth want to suspend all motions in their military tribunal and – as AP puts it, “confess their war crimes.”

News reports -not punditry – are linking this dramatic change of tactics to Obama’s election, saying that KSM and his scum decided to do so upon hearing that Obama was elected.  Why in the world would they do this, if Obama’s clearly moving toward civilian-ish trials that would open the door to tons of documents and hours of depositions?

One simple answer: They want to die, the sooner the better.  Martyrdom is their last, best hope at fueling Islamist fires, and my bet is that they saw Obama’s election as an impediment to this objective.
