“Thousands” of Jihadists Ready to Attack UK

T

he (UK) Telegraph is heralding a leaked government report today that says thousands of jihadists – many of them converts to Islam or native-born Muslims – are poised and ready to carry out terror attacks in London, Birmingham and elsewhere in the UK. Says the leaked report:

Since 2001, over 1,200 terrorist suspect have been arrested, over 140 have been charged and more than 45 have been convicted of terrorism offences, according to Home Office figures. It is also estimated that there are some 200 terrorist networks functioning in Britain today who are involved in at least 30 plots.

But this latest security assessment appears to suggest that the number of individuals who now pose a threat to the UK is even higher.

The report continues: “The majority of extremists are British nationals of south Asian, mainly Pakistani origin but there are also extremists from north and east Africa, Iraq and the Middle East, and a number of converts. The overwhelming majority of extremists are male, typically in the 18-30 age range.

Many of them have visited Pakistan (remember Obama’s covered up trip to Pakistan?) and other locations for crash courses in jihad terrorism.

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, the bodies of the three jihadists executed yesterday for planning the Bali nightclub bombings were flown home and greeted with the sort of celebrations we’ve come to expect from the religion of death:

The crowd shouted “Allahu Akbar!” (God is greater) as the helicopter bearing their bodies landed in a nearby field.

“God is great, God is great! God is showing his greatness. I’m so happy,” shouted one supporter.

“This is God’s grace. The mujahedeen (holy warriors) will fight on!” shouted someone else in the crowd. (source)

That’s not my God, Bub. That’s not the one God who abounds with lovingkindness.

Babs Disses Josh Over W

N

ews from the tolerance front: Barbra Streisand isn’t talking to her stepson because he had the temerity to play Bush in Ollie Stone’s new movie, W. Reports the normally staid Times of London:

Brolin’s family weren’t happy either. His father is James Brolin, a television star, and his stepmother is Barbra Streisand, the singer and actress, who is a Democrat and antiIraq war campaigner. “She [Streisand] said: ‘How much are you getting paid?’ ” says Brolin. “I told her it was a very low fee. She said, ‘Then why are you doing it?’ She was furious and would not talk to me.

I hope they’ve patched things up. It’s hard to imagine life without Babs.

Polar Ice Chills Warmie Orthodoxy

J

ust a couple quickies here, a few more blocks in the argument that shows global warming advocates to be zealots largely driven by faith, not science:

First, UC Santa Barbara scientist Lorraine Lisiecki has amassed an ocean of data to disprove conventional Warmie thought about polar ice sheet formation and melting. It seems the existing data is all based on one study, Specmap, that was based on one point in the Atlantic. Lisiecki studied 24 locations and:

“What I found was that the one site that the Specmap study used actually didn’t match most of the other sites in the Atlantic. They just happened to have a strange site that didn’t behave like most of the other sites. The other sites show that the [ocean's] circulation is not responding to the ice volume, but that it is responding to changes in the distribution of sunlight.” (source)

In other words, the vaunted “tipping point” of polar icemelt is a fabrication. Chalk up one more for those who state the obvious: The sun is the primary driver of global climate, not SUV drivers.

And about that tipping point.

Polar ice is back! Recent measurements show 655,781 more square kilometers of ice this November 7, compared to last year, an increase of 7.4%. (source)

It’s just amazing how the ice cap can be so darn healthy in the midst of all this global warming that’s going to melt the ice caps and flood our cities.

Animal Planed Launches Eco-Terrorist Love Fest

L

ast Friday the Animal Planet cable network will temporarily interrupt its endless animal welfare cop stories to celebrate and glorify one of the world’s foremost ecoterrorists, Paul Watson. Somehow, I missed it the launch of the seven-part series, Whale Wars. Here’s what Animal Planet had to say about Watson and his buddies from Sea Shepherd:

The eclectic group — labeled activists, heroes and/or eco-pirates — leave port in Melbourne, Australia for a two-month campaign that is dangerous, controversial and has garnered international media attention. Sea Shepherd’s dedicated, international crew have spent their holiday the last several years and risked their lives at the bottom of the Earth to save whales.

Unsaid in all this glorifying of Watson and his crew is that the target of their wrath – Japanese whaling vessels – are complying with restrictions laid down by the International Whaling Commission. Like all terrorists, Watson doesn’t care if the system has processes; he believes his tiny minority is right and can impose its well on the rest of us. So Animal Planet gave him a show, without telling its viewers that this is a man who once said, “There’s’ nothing wrong with being a terrorist, as long as you win.”

Here’s a more realistic appraisal of the man Animal Planet is dedicating seven shows to:

Paul Watson is considered by many to be the originator of environmental terrorism; what he refers to as “passionate activism.” Watson was one of the founders of Greenpeace, the largest environmental rights organization in the world, with over 5 million members claiming allegiance in over twenty countries. Watson left Greenpeace, which originated as a splinter faction of the 1960′s anti-war group “Don’t Make a Wave Committee,” due to the passivity of that group. Because Greenpeace has objected to the use of excessive violence in protests, Watson has disparagingly dubbed his former group the “Avon ladies of the environmental movement.”

In 1977, Watson founded the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS), which he describes as a “policing organization,” but which is in fact a radical terrorist outfit that travels the oceans of the world perpetrating violence against the fishing industry. (Discover the Networks)

70th Anniversary of Kristallnacht

G

ermany marked the 70th anniversary of the Nazi’s anti-Jewish Kristallnacht riots in 1938 with a memorial concert and the rededication of the Rykestrasse synagogue, which was damaged in the riots, but was recently restored. Premier Angela Merkel used the occasion to call for an end to antisemitism and racism.

“Indifference is the first step towards endangering essential values. Xenophobia, racism and anti-Semitism must never be given an opportunity in Europe again.

“We cannot be silent, we cannot be indifferent when Jewish cemeteries are desecrated and rabbis are insulted on the street.”

Most of her nation seems to be behind her on this and some demonstrated against the National Democratic Party, which many see as too Nazi-like in their intents.

This is all good, very good. But I think the Germans, the ethnic Germans, understand this. They know what their fathers and grandfathers did and they’re not inclined to do it again. Unspoken yesterday, at least according to news accounts, was any criticism of the other Germans, the non-ethnic Germans, who have flooded into the country from Turkey and Northern Africa, bringing Islam with them.

Islam, not Nazism, is the greatest antisemitic force in the world today. Merkle should have spoken specifically to Muslims in her comments, telling them that part of their religion will not be tolerated. But she didn’t.

With Obama winning the presidency by seven percent, we can't blame the media. Their laudatory coverage and refusal to extensively probe into Obama's background and [lack of] experience was at best responsible for five percent of his vote, the pundits tell us. Here is a compilation of over 100 significant instances of pro-Obama/anti-McCain bias during the 2008 campaign.
