Laer: I think a big part of debates is the impression that stays with people days and weeks later. John McCain last week did NOT look anything like the tired old geezer Obama et al want him to be - - so the “heartbeat away” issue is less important; and Sarah Palin did an excellent job, made a good presentation, and I think that many will take away from this that she will be ready if and when the time comes. (Bet the NY Times guys disagree, but so what?)
