Nice Timing, Bloomberg

s the market melts away and thoughts of October 1929 keep fighting to get to the surface (Down, dang it! Down!), Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office decided it was timely to do this:

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg on Monday outlawed extreme thrill seekers who dodge police to jump or hang from high buildings, his press office said.

The bill signed by Bloomberg “prohibits climbing, jumping or suspending oneself from structures without the approval of the police department and the owner of the structure.”

Presumably, Bloomberg’s policy envisions jumpers strapped into some sort of crash-stopping technology, but these days you never know ….

With Obama winning the presidency by seven percent, we can't blame the media.
